Pets
Many Australian families keep animals as pets. The most common pets are dogs, cats, birds and fish. Each family will have its own rules about pets - who feeds them, whether they can come inside the house, where and how to play with them, and so on. If you are uncomfortable with the family pet for any reason, for example if the pet is coming into your room and you don’t want it to, speak calmly and respectfully with your Homestay family about it to work out a solution that suits everyone.
