Gambling

Gambling can be a fun occasional pastime. However, some International students may be at risk of developing a gambling problem because they are not among their usual friends and support networks to distract them or break the pattern of gambling behaviour. If you or your friends think gambling is turning into a problem for you, seek advice immediately. In Queensland you can dial a Gambling Helpline on 1800 633 649 (this is a free call number). You can also speak to your International Student Advisor, a school, college or university counsellor, a psychologist or doctor.
