Welcome to Queensland from the Chair, Queensland Education and Training International Board

Every year, thousands of students from more than 120 countries choose Queensland, Australia as their study destination. These students make the decision to come to Queensland for a high-quality education, a safe, culturally-diverse society and unparalleled natural environment.

As an international student your experience will include the usual exams and assignments, as well as adjusting to a new way of life and finding your way around a new location.

Maintaining your safety, health and overall wellbeing is of the utmost importance to ensure your international student experience is as positive and productive as it can be.

The health and wellbeing (link) section of the Study Queensland website features information on keeping yourself fit and happy. While the support services of your study institution or provider are available to help you feel safe and comfortable during your time here. Making friends and joining clubs and social groups can also be a good way to ensure you build a network that supports you in all facets of your life in Queensland.

Your international study experience will be challenging, but rewarding. It can open the door to many career opportunities and provide you with a new level of cultural awareness and the confidence to help you stand out to employers in an increasingly globalised workforce.

I encourage you to make the most of all Queensland has to offer and I wish you every success and a safe Queensland study experience.
