Important information for students of GEOS Colleges
The GEOS English Colleges and St Marks International Colleges have closed and will no longer be teaching overseas students.
ALL STUDENTS who study English language programs with English Australia (EA) member colleges have their course guaranteed by the English Australia Tuition Assurance Scheme and EA's priority is to assist students with a suitable alternative placement as soon as possible.
EA and The Commonwealth Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) are working together to organise meetings to inform students of their rights and responsibilities under the legislation and to provide students with information on how they can be assisted and what steps are being taken to help them continue their studies as quickly as possible.
All students will be contacted to advise them of the time and venue for the meetings.
GEOS Gold Coast Pty Ltd t/s GEOS Queensland College of English Gold Coast - Meeting Date: Friday 5th February 2010 - 2.30pm at Watermark Hotel and Spa, 3032 Gold Coast Highway

DEEWR advises that is very important that students give the English Australia Tuition Assurance Scheme the opportunity to find a them a new placement in a suitable alternative course.
Under the placement arrangements students should not be required to pay any additional amount to undertake a portion of the new provider’s course for which they have already paid money in advance to their current institution.
